Raiders Vs. Falcons, Week 6: Mike Smith tries to keep team focused

Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith is trying to keep his team focused going forward after they have started 5-0. Does he think the Raiders can beat the Falcons this Sunday?

Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith has helped lead his team to their first 5-0 start in franchise history. Despite that, he is trying to keep his team focused. When asked about that after practice on Thursday, Smith said that the key is keeping the team focused on a few points the team could improve upon:

"I think you've got to be very focused during the week. You have to have vocal points that you're talking about. You discuss and we do that. We talk about with offensively, defensively, and the special teams. I think you have to be even keeled through the week and then you get there on Sunday, and you play with emotion and you play with passion."

Despite the Raiders only being 1-3 enter Sunday's game, Smith knows that any team can win on any given Sunday given the parity that is in the NFL:

"Any given Sunday, anybody can beat anybody. You have to go out and play your best to enhance your chances of winning. Sometimes you don't play your best and you're able to get a victory.

The Falcons play the Raiders on Sunday at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on CBS.
