Fresh off their bye week, the Atlanta Falcons' undefeated record will be put to the test in Week 8 when they head to Lincoln Financial Field to take on Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Atlanta currently holds a commanding four-game lead in the NFC South over the 2-4 New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Falcons could potentially hold a 1 1/2-game lead in the NFC overall if the Chicago Bears lose to the Detroit Lions on Monday night.
Atlanta has started the season 6-0 thanks to an explosive aerial attack led by Matt Ryan and Roddy White. Philadelphia has been average defensively against the pass, so there should be some opportunities for the Falcons to exploit.
Philadelphia, also coming off their bye week, has lost two straight in heartbreaking fashion against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions. Vick has struggled with turnovers this season, with eight interceptions and three fumbles on the year. Considering Atlanta owns one of the league's worst rushing defenses, it would be in the Eagles' best interest to give LeSean McCoy plenty of touches.
Injury Report: Neither team is currently dealing with any major injuries.
Point spread: The Eagles have opened as a 2 1/2-point favorite.
Game time: Kick-off is set for 1:00 p.m. ET.
