A 6-0 start has given the Atlanta Falcons the unanimous No. 1 spot in power rankings after Week 7.
The Falcons, who were on a bye this week, are No. 1 once again in the SB Nation NFL power rankings.
1. Atlanta Falcons (LW: 1, 6-0): Let's not overthink this. The Falcons have yet to lose a game. It's not the league's hardest schedule – four of six games have been against AFC West opponents – but winning six games in a row is still an accomplishment. Circle Week 15 on your calendar, when the Falcons play the Giants.
In the FOX Sports poll, the Falcons are on top. Only four teams have been No. 1 in the rankings this season.
ESPN also has the Falcons at No. 1 with this tidbit: "Ten of the last 37 teams to go 6-0 and stand as the last unbeaten team won the Super Bowl."
All but two teams in the top 10 of CBS Sports' power rankings shifted their ranking this week, except the Falcons (No. 1) and the Broncos (No. 10).
Atlanta hasn't had trouble putting points on the board this year. The Falcons have scored at least 23 points every game, including a 40-point outburst in the opener against the Chiefs.
The Falcons will try to keep its No. 1 ranking when it travels to play Philadelphia (3-3) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
