The Atlanta Falcons continue to hold a commanding four-game lead in the NFC South after a dominant 30-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8.

Atlanta sits at 7-0, four games ahead of the 3-4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs had closed the Falcons' lead to 3.5 with a stellar 36-17 Thursday night road win over the Minnesota Vikings, but Atlanta pushed it right back out to four on Sunday.

The New Orleans Saints fell five games behind Atlanta after an ugly 34-14 loss on Sunday night to the Denver Broncos. The Saints' defense has been an absolute disaster, giving up over 470 yards per game, including 530 in the loss to the Broncos.

Bringing up the rear in the division are the 1-6 Carolina Panthers. The Panthers had a chance to upset the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Week 8, but they lost on a last-second field goal by Robbie Gould. The Panthers blew a 19-7 fourth quarter lead in the game.

Here are the standings:

NFC South Standings

Tampa Bay 3 4 0 184 153
