Atlanta Falcons running back Jacquizz Rodgers had a strong performance in the Falcons' 30-17 Week 8 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Rodgers ran for 60 yards, had 20 yards receiving and added 30 yards on kickoff returns for 110 all-purpose yards on the day.
Rodgers was the Falcons' leading rusher on the day, while Michael Turner rushed for 58 yards on 24 carries. In the third quarter, Rodgers broke loose for a 43-yard run, the longest run of the season for Atlanta. His effort helped the Falcons run for a season-high 146 yards.
Head coach Mike Smith was quick to compliment Rodgers, saying of the 43-yard carry, "that was an outstanding run, he did a very nice job of eluding tacklers."
On the season, Rodgers has 137 yards rushing on 39 carries, as well as 137 yards on 20 receptions with one touchdown catch.
