Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for September after leading the Falcons to a 4-0 start to the 2012 NFL season.

Ryan has been nothing short of phenomenal to start this season, completing 69.4 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,162 yards, 11 touchdowns and just two interceptions. Ryan has also recorded at least a 100 quarterback rating for each game this year.

Ryan's mastery of Dirk Koetter's offense was evident during the end of the Carolina Panthers game in Week 4, where Ryan led the Falcons on a game winning drive from the Atlanta 1-yard line for the game winning score. Ryan went 3-4 on the drive for 77 yards, which included a 59-yard pass to Roddy White on the drive's first play.

Its the second time Ryan has won the award, with the first happening during November of the 2010 regular season.
