An undefeated record will gain you respect, and that's one of the many reasons why the Atlanta Falcons are favored by 10 points over the Oakland Raiders, the biggest spread so far in Week 6.
The Falcons have looked like the NFL's best team, starting the season 5-0. Meanwhile, Oakland is just 1-3 but had an extra week thanks to its bye.
Through five weeks of the season, Atlanta has been the safer pick. The Falcons are 4-1 against the spread, while the Raiders are 1-3.
On paper, Atlanta shouldn't have much trouble with Oakland. The Falcons are scoring 29.6 points per game, while the Raiders are managing just 16.8 ppg. Defensively, Atlanta is giving up 18.6 ppg, and Oakland is allowing 31.3 ppg.
The Raiders have not won a road game this season but won five in 2011. The Falcons have won six straight at home.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET at the Georgia Dome.
