The Atlanta Falcons escaped the wet, muddy field in Washington with only two minor injuries. Linebacker Stephen Nicholas suffered an ankle injury in the first half, but returned to the game, while backup running back Antoine Smith re-aggravated a hamstring injury and left the game.

The team hasn't suffered a significant injury since losing corner Brent Grimes for the year after an Achilles tear in Week 1. Backup tight end Michael Palmer missed the game and all of last week's practice with a shoulder injury with no timetable for a return, while fullback Lousaka Polite did not see action against Washington after being listed as questionable with a hamstring injury.

Safety William Moore (hip) and center Todd McClure (pectoral) were both limited in practice through Friday, but started and played in the win over the Redskins. Receiver Julio Jones participated fully in practice all week and started the game, but is still on the official injury list with a hand issue.
