The NFL's lone unbeaten team faces a stiff challenge against a team they can't seem to beat.
Matt Ryan and the Falcons will travel to the Big Easy to play Drew Brees and the Saints on Sunday afternoon. If Atlanta wins, it won't just extend the team's eight-game winning streak. It'll also severely damage New Orleans' playoff hopes and give the Falcons a six-game lead in the NFC South with just seven games left in the season.
A win would also give Atlanta a little revenge for last year's 45-16 drubbing at New Orleans' hands. In that game, Brees broke the NFL's single-season record for passing yards, with some Falcons players upset that Brees was still throwing late in a blowout. The Falcons haven't had much success against the Saints of late, having lost three straight and 10 of the last 12 to New Orleans.
Sunday's game is likely to be a shootout, with Ryan, Roddy White and Julio Jones going up against Brees, Marques Colston, Lance Moore and Devery Henderson. The Saints will be without versatile running back Darren Sproles, however; he's been ruled out for the game with a hand fracture suffered in Week 7. Instead, New Orleans will turn to a three-headed running back committee of Pierre Thomas, Chris Ivory, and Mark Ingram.
