After the first four weeks of the season, the Falcons were undefeated while the Saints had yet to win a game. While the Falcons managed to continue that trend in the next four games and now enter Week 10 with a perfect 8-0 record, the Saints have won three of their last four, including a 28-13 dismantling of the Eagles on Monday Night Football.
The matchup between the two NFC South teams was seemingly set for a blowout, but in order for the Falcons to make that a reality now, they'll have to go to the Superdome in New Orleans and beat a resurgent Saints team. They are favored to do so, but by only 2 1/2 points.
What bettors definitely expect to see, though, is a high-scoring affair between the two teams, as the 53 1/2 over/under for the week is the highest of any Week 10 game. No team in the NFL allows more yardage than the Saints, and they'll have to correct that issue against a Falcons offense that ranks in the top 10 in total offense and every major passing category.
But the Saints are more than capable of scoring points themselves, as Drew Brees leads the NFL in passing at the halfway point of the season and will face a Falcons defense that has given up more than 300 yards passing in two of their last three games.
