Roddy White said that he thinks the 8-0 Atlanta Falcons can run the slate and finish the regular season undefeated.
Although head coach Mike Smith wants his players to play one game at a time, White said that he feels the Falcons can hold onto their status as the only unbeaten team in the league for the rest of the year. The eighth-year wide receiver out of UAB said that the team has "the pedigree to do it" when speaking to the press, as reported by D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
White's connection with Matt Ryan has been a big part of the team's success thus far, as he has 47 receptions for 709 yards and four touchdowns.
If the Falcons do manage to stay undefeated and keep the '72 Dolphins' champagne on ice for the remainder of the regular season, they'd be only the second team ever to go 16-0 in the regular season - the other, the 2007 New England Patriots, lost in the Super Bowl. The Falcons will try to move to 9-0 this Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
