After returning defensive tackle Peria Jerry to the lineup on Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons lost DT Jonathan Babineaux for some time in the second quarter the Falcons' loss to the Carolina Panthers. But Babineaux returned in the third quarter and played the rest of the way.
Elsewhere on defense, the Falcons played Sunday without cornerback Asante Samuel, who is continuing to recover from repeated injuries to his shoulder. Samuel did not participate in practice at all this week and was questionable for Sunday's game before sitting it out.
The Falcons were also without safety William Moore, who had missed the week's practice with hamstring issues which continued to bother him on Sunday. Moore did not play after being listed as questionable in Sunday's injury report.
On offense, Michael Turner was listed as questionable for the Falcons game against the Panthers after being limited in practice, but was able to contribute on Sunday, though he ran for just 14 yards on seven carries.
