Giants vs. Falcons: Game time, TV schedule, injury updates and more

The Falcons scored just two points against the Giants in the 2011 playoffs, but can get their revenge in Week 15 of the 2012 season.

Chris Trotman

A promising 2011 season for the Atlanta Falcons came to an end in the first round of the playoffs at the hands of the New York Giants. While the Falcons have clinched their ticket to the playoffs again in 2012, the Giants haven't quite earned that distinction, but they are the current leaders of the NFC East.

Almost a year since the Falcons were dropped from the playoffs by the Giants, the opportunity to deliver a crushing blow in return has presented itself, as the Giants can't afford to lose a game in such a tight playoff race with both the Cowboys and Redskins just one game behind them.

However, it's the Giants that enter the game after a convincing 52-27 win against the Saints, while the Falcons limp in following a 30-20 loss to the lowly Panthers. The loss was only the second of the season for the Falcons, but an uncharacteristic one and the second consecutive game in which the defense gave up more than 400 yards of total offense. The Falcons are undefeated at home, though, and can essentially lock-up a first round bye with a win on Sunday.
