The Atlanta Falcons will head host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, January 20 in the NFC Championship Game. It took a heart-stopping and hardly impressive display on the part of the Falcons in the divisional round to get to this point, while the 49ers thrashed the Packers, but that doesn't matter anymore. It is one game, and one win, for a berth in the Super Bowl.
Atlanta and San Francisco will kick off at 3 p.m. ET at the Georgia Dome, where 71,000 raucous Falcons fans will be waiting to welcome the 49ers. The 49ers went 5-3 on the road during the regular season, while the Falcons were an impressive 7-1 at home.
The game will be televised live on Fox. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will be on the call. It will be followed by the AFC Championship Game on CBS.
