Could Aaron Murray Be Better Than Matthew Stafford, David Greene, Or D.J. Shockley?

Team Speed Kills suggests Aaron Murray just might wind up better than any of Mark Richt's Georgia quarterbacks -- a list that includes an NFL no. 1 draft pick, college football's second all-time winningest quarterback, and an SEC Championship Game MVP.

Though he still has the tougher half of his schedule to go, Murray's passer rating through six games compares favorably to the best years put together by Matthew Stafford, David Greene, and D.J. Shockley. TSK notes Murray's rating has spiked since A.J. Green returned, which means the rest of this year might keep pace even as the Dawgs play Florida and Auburn.

Losing Green after this season will mean all eyes on sophomore Murray. But Murray has already gotten a quarter-season's worth of experience at being the brightest star in an SEC offense, so you'd think he'll be able to handle it.
