SEC Football VIDEO: Cam Newton's Touchdown Catch Against Ole Miss In Auburn Tigers Blowout

Auburn Tigers superhero Cam Newton put some distance on his Heisman campaign this evening against Ole Miss by catching a 24-yard touchdown pass from WR Kodi Burns. And it wasn’t just a catch — it was an A.J. Greenly tumbling toe-tapper in a decently defended corner of the end zone. Nice pass by Burns, while we’re at it. Newton has also thrown a touchdown as Auburn leads 44-17, but has yet to run one in.

Refresh my memory: did Tim Tebow ever pull this off:

Newton has 253 total yards as RBs Michael Dyer and Onterio McCalebb have carried much of the load, running for 120 and 92 yards with a score each. With this big of a lead, Newton might not get many more chances to run for the cycle. Though he could always be sent in to run back kicks or blitz Jermiah Masoli. Why not?

The Georgia Bulldogs get to play Cam Newton in two short weeks.
