SEC College Football Scores, Week 11: Alabama Crimson Tide Pound Mississippi St., 30-10

A week after suffering their second loss of a disappointing post-championship season, the Alabama Crimson Tide knocked the upstart Mississippi St. Bulldog back down a peg. The Dawgs entered with the same 7-2 record as the Tide, already their second-best win total since 2000.

The Tide outgained MSU by 153 yards, but it was their mid-game barrage that made the difference. With Alabama leading only 6-3 until halfway through the second, the Tide tore off three touchdown plays of 45 yards or more in the next 12 minutes of game time. As a team that’s made its mark by winning tight, low-scoring games, the Bulldogs simply couldn’t keep pace.

Alabama gets a freebie against the Georgia St. Panthers on Thursday as they rest up for the Auburn Tigers on Nov. 26, while the Bulldogs get the Arkansas Razorbacks on Nov. 20.
