6-2 Arkansas needs a win this week to keep its faint-as-Nebraska-indie-rock SEC West hopes alive and/or at least continue towards an improvement over last year’s 8-5 record. The 6-2 Cocks don’t especially need this one, since they can’t lose the SEC East until next week’s game against the Florida Gators anyway, so expect Steve Spurrier to squeeze in an extra tee time or two by and possibly on Saturday.
The Ryan Mallett statological humor spree has only been held below 31 points twice, and one of those was against the Alabama Crimson Tide. However, top Razorback weapon WR Greg Childs is done for the season after Bobby Petrino left him in during a fourth-quarter blowout against the Vanderbilt Commodores. In his defense, Petrino was busy updating his resume at the time.
Based on how well each team played the Georgia Bulldogs, we'd have to pick Carolina here.
