College Football Schedule, Week 13: Kentucky Wildcats Vs. Tennessee Volunteers Preview

Man, what might’ve been if the Tennessee Volunteers had held on to beat the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge. Derek Dooley’s boys would’ve been inspired to lose to the Georgia Bulldogs by a touchdown less, and they’d already be bowl eligible, so we really wouldn’t have to worry about this game at all.

The Kentucky Wildcats have a very good offense led by QB Mike Hartline, while Tennessee’s has suddenly picked up since handing the reins to QB Tyler Bray. That’s partly due to the Vols playing the Memphis Tigers, Mississippi Rebels, and Vanderbilt Commodores in that span, but HEY that’s enough Brayer-hating.

With a week off and superior talent (“When did you think you’d ever say that about Kentucky over Tennessee?” I just asked myself), Joker Philips has the edge in this battle of first-year SEC East coaches.

TV time: 12:21 on SEC Network and ESPN3.
