College Football Week 13: Florida Gators Vs. FSU Seminoles Preview

Tim Tebow’s gone. More importantly, so is Bobby Bowden. The Florida Gators haven’t finalized their 2010 offensive scheme yet. The Florida St. Seminoles have the nation’s best pass rush. Ranked Noles versus unranked Gators for the second time since before college football was invented. FSU might never have a better shot at snapping their losing streak in this rivalry, now six games strong.

Who knows about all that. But it’s not gonna be a pretty game. Let’s get that much out of the way.

Florida has one FBS win we can all appreciate: the Trey Burton game against the Kentucky Wildcats. Even their beatdown of the Vanderbilt Commodores featured multiple turnovers and 11 penalties. And the Noles haven’t looked entirely convincing since blowing away the Miami Hurricanes in early October. Even their two-touchdown win over the Maryland Terrapins last week was packed with crappy-by-ACC-standards officiating and came down to the Terps freshman QB nearly tying the thing up in the final minute.

In rivalry games even the finest plans go sideways seconds after kickoff. So what happens to two offenses that play like they haven’t had a plan since midseason?
