When Auburn Tigers QB Cam Newton took the field for warmups just a few moments ago, the Alabama Crimson Tide PA played Steve Miller Band’s “Take the Money and Run” and Dusty Springfield’s “Son of a Preacher Man,” both clear references to the ongoing NCAA investigation surrounding Newton and his father. Newton is being investigated for accusations that his father, preacher man Cecil Newton, solicited money from the Mississippi St. Bulldogs. Tuscaloosa shots fired!
