Alabama PA Plays 'Take The Money And Run' And 'Son Of A Preacher Man' For Cam Newton

When Auburn Tigers QB Cam Newton took the field for warmups just a few moments ago, the Alabama Crimson Tide PA played Steve Miller Band’s “Take the Money and Run” and Dusty Springfield’s “Son of a Preacher Man,” both clear references to the ongoing NCAA investigation surrounding Newton and his father. Newton is being investigated for accusations that his father, preacher man Cecil Newton, solicited money from the Mississippi St. Bulldogs. Tuscaloosa shots fired! Among the most terrifying of all shots!

The Bama student section also threw fake dollars bearing Newton’s likeness onto the field (via @ChaseGoodbread). They didn’t do the same before the game for Tide DE Marcell Dareus, as he already got his this summer. Hey, remember that?
