2010 AP All American Team lineups came out today, with several SEC players earning high honors. Auburn was the only SEC team to place two first-teamers, Cam Newton and Nick Fairley, as Big 12 teams rack up lots of stats. Ooo, stats! The Georgia Bulldogs are represented by second-team LB Justin Houston and punter Drew Butler.
Other SEC players to make the first team: Patrick Peterson, Chas Henry, and Randall Cobb. All three are special teamers, though Cobb and Peterson make most of their contributions elsewhere. The SEC did much better on the second team, placing nine.
Three ACC players, Clemson's Da'Quan Bowers, Boston College's Luke Kuechly, and FSU's Rodney Hudson, also show up on the first team.
