Sun Bowl Final Score: Notre Dame Thanks Miami Kindly, Wins 33-17

Miami Hurricanes QB Jacory Harris has likely started his last college football game. Throwing three interceptions in the Sun Bowl to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish after hurling 15 in only nine regular season games, Harris was relieved in favor of freshman Stephen Morris.

I should also say something about “Catholics vs. Convicts” here, but /zzzzzzz.

The spindly Morris has so very many Harris-like tendencies, both good and bad. He did throw a pick on his first drive today, but also started a mini-rally in the fourth quarter with a pair of touchdowns to pull within two scores.

Notre Dame played largely mistake-free football, with no turnovers and only three penalties. You don’t have to overextend yourself too far when the other team whips the ball directly at your safeties four times in one half.

The Canes and Irish finish the season with 7-5 records.
