In response to my claim that Georgia is the nation's best college football state, SB Nation Tampa Bay has retorted with a snort and sneer. Gregg Burrage responds to a selection of my evidence, countering with his own (which includes the storied, majestic Outback Bowl), and concludes:

Don't get me wrong. Georgia is a great state, Atlanta is big, and Savannah is a pretty cool place. I even like peaches, peanuts and Vidalia onions. And a Chick-Fil-A sammich sounds good to me right now, too.
↵But no matter what yardstick you use, I don't see any way anyone can claim that the state to our north is the 'greatest' when it comes to college football.

No word on whether Tampa disagrees with our own Spencer Hall's notice that Atlanta, Georgia is the finest of all college football cities.
