If you’re a Georgia fan covering your eyes at the ill-executed slapstick comedy that has characterized much of tonight’s game, you’ll be happy to know that for the first time all season, Mississippi State has failed to score a touchdown on their opening second-half possession. Thanks, defense (and the center who snapped the ball low and past Chris Relf for a nine-yard loss on second and 10)!
The ensuing punt was “fielded” at the 10 by Logan Gray, who — wait for it — fair-caught the ball. Nice to know some things will never change faster than you can handle them.
