Gator Bowl Final Score: Mississippi State Crushes Michigan, 52-14

If someone in the Michigan Wolverines athletic department didn’t spend the whole fourth quarter of the Gator Bowl holding up a giant, blank novelty check with Mississippi St. Bulldogs head coach Dan Mullen’s name on it … Let’s face it, this is probably Rich Rodriguez’ last game as Wolverines coach, and if Mullen can win nine games at Missy State he can do it anywhere.

Wolverines QB Denard Robinson put up his customary 300+ yards and multiple touchdowns, and as is also custom got zero help from the rest of his team. QB Chris Reif threw three touchdowns, and RB Vick Ballard ran for another three, and if it weren’t for Bama’s obliteration of Michigan State the Dawgs would have the biggest bowl plastering of the year.

How insane was the SEC West this year? If Mullen’s aboard for the long haul, five of six West programs are going to be in contention for BCS bowls annually.
