2011 NFL Draft: Patrick Peterson, Ryan Williams Join A.J. Green In Declaring Early

Days after Georgia Bulldogs WR A.J. Green announced his intention to enter the 2011 NFL Draft, he was joined by LSU Tigers CB Patrick Peterson and Virginia Tech Hokies RB Ryan Williams. Peterson and Green could both be top-five picks, while Williams joins backfield bro Darren Evans in leaving VPI early.

In SB Nation’s latest mock draft, Peterson goes No. 2 to the Denver Broncos. Williams is not expected to be a first-round pick, though it’s not out of the question.

Peterson has been something of a one-man team for LSU, finishing 39th in the nation with four picks, including one returned for a touchdown, two punt return touchdowns, and 114 yards worth of kick returns per game.

In 2009 Williams set the ACC freshman rushing record, powering out 1,655 yards and terrifying the conference with the prospects of another two or three years until everybody realized he was a redshirt, so phew.
