After a long dry spell, 2011 Georgia Bulldogs recruiting is suddenly on a roll. Jefferson, Florida linebacker Ramik Wilson becomes Mark Richt’s third commit in four days after nary a nibble since summer. Damian Swann committed at the US Army All-American Game, and Sanford Seay committed late last week.
Six-foot-three, 220-pound Wilson is rated three stars by Rivals, the No. 16 linebacker and No. 58 player from Florida. He also visited the Purdue Boilermakers, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, and Texas Tech Red Raiders and was recruited by over a dozen other schools.
Wilson is only the second linebacker in the Dawgs 2011 class, joining Amario Herrera. According to Chip Towers, current Dawgs commits Christian LeMay and Chris Conley helped him make his decision.
He can play tight end too, having started there this season. Bulldogs fans who lamented UGA’s tight end use this season, this is probably not the solution to that problem.
