Georgia Bulldogs Vs. Ole Miss Rebels: Bulldogs Lead Rebels 53-37 At The Half

If the Georgia Bulldogs are road weary they are not showing it in the first half. Georgia is putting on a shooting exhibition shooting 67% from the field. They have hit 4-8 from three point range and all nine of their free throw attempts. The execution of the offense has been flawless leading to 15 assists on the 20 made field goals in the first half.

Ole Miss surprised no one by opening the game in a zone defense, however Georgia responded by feeding the ball to Trey Thompkins in the high post and letting him facilitate the offense. On the year Georgia is averaging 69 points per contest. In todays game they have 53 points at the half. Gerald Robinson Jr. leads all scorers with 13 points. Trey Thompkins has 11 points while Travis Leslie has chipped in 10 of his own. Georgia point guard Dustin Ware has nine points and four assists while going 2-3 from down town in the first half.

Zach Graham has 12 points and is the only thing keeping the Rebel's head above water in the first half. SEC leading scorer Chris Warren has seven points on 2-6 shooting.

Georgia is without the services of senior Chris Barnes who has left the team due to a death in his family.

Look for Ole Miss to bring more pressure at Georgia to try and get them out of the rhythm they were in during the first half. Georgia needs to move the basketball while continuing to play through Trey Thompkins and they should be able to leave Oxford with a victory.
