Carson Palmer Trade Demands Could Affect A.J. Green's NFL Draft Stock

Carson Palmer, longtime Cincinnati Bengals QB, has demanded a trade, and is willing to threaten retirement in order to get out of Cincy. The Bengals' other quarterbacks on staff are Jordan Palmer (yes, Carson's brother) and Dan LeFevour, who combined for 18 yards in 2010.

It's safe to say the team will consider drafting a quarterback with that No. 4 pick, which could be Missouri Tigers QB Blaine Gabbert, Arkansas Razorbacks QB Ryan Mallett, or even Auburn Tigers QB Cam Newton. For Georgia Bulldogs WR A.J. Green, all this could take away a potential top-five destination.

In SB Nation's most recent mock draft, Green went No. 4 to the Bengals behind Nick Fairley, Da'Quan Bowers, and Patrick Peterson. Newton is the first QB off the board, at No. 8 to the Titans. The next two teams, the Cardinals and Browns, could certainly be in the market for a receiver.
