2011 NFL Draft: Joshua Nesbitt Working Out At Running Back

Georgia Tech's quarterback of the last three years is currently in Charlotte, North Carolina preparing for the draft. Instead of working on his throwing mechanisms and routes, Joshua Nesbitt is focusing on all of the skills necessary to be an NFL running back, according to Heather Dinich.

Nesbitt was a perfect quarterback for Paul Johnson's option-based spread offense, but struggled with his accuracy, completing only 43% of his passes. He did have great success as a runner, racking up 2,806 yards on the ground.

Many had thought that he might be able to make it to the next level on the defensive side of the ball, but it seems he has chosen a more natural route.

He told Dinich: "I'm just working on, they listed me as a running back, so I'm trying to get better at running back drills and quarterback. I just want to play football. I feel like I have a lot to prove just by being the person that I am, just always being in the shadow of everybody."

He has a long road to make it to the next level, but after watching him play and compete for the last three years, I would not bet against him.
