Sugar Bowl Final Score: Ohio State Gets SEC Bowl Win, Arkansas Falls 31-26

The Ohio St. Buckeyes have snapped their millenia-long bowl losing streak to SEC teams, and Arkansas Razorbacks coach Bobby Petrino is responsible. LOL! The Hogs had a chance to take the lead with under a minute to go after a blocked punt, but QB Ryan Mallett threw an interception to ice it.

It was about time somebody caught a Mallett pass. Arkansas receivers left multiple specific touchdowns on the board and were dumping Mallett line drives all night long. Arkansas’ defense couldn’t do a thing about Buckeyes QB Terrelle Pryor, who passed for 222 yards and ran for 115.

They couldn’t contain Ohio State DE Cameron Heyward, either. The future first-rounder was on Mallett like fog, sacking him once and gathering a handful of tackles and QB hits. The Bucks needed a strong showing from their front seven, as defensive backs were dropping like flies due to injuries all night long.

The Razorbacks trailed by as many as 18 late in the third quarter before a Mallett touchdown, a safety, and a field goal were followed by that blocked punt.
