Georgia Vs. Mississippi State Halftime Score: Defense Bails Out Murray Interceptions, UGA Leads 21-3

A seven yard Carlton Thomas touchdown run capped off a two minute drive to give Georgia a 21-3 halftime lead over Mississippi State, after the UGA defense allowed zero points from Aaron Murray's back-to-back interceptions.

Murray's second interception could've been disastrous for Georgia's momentum: MSU linebacker Cameron Lawrence dropped into coverage and grabbed a pass on the Georgia 28, giving the MSU Dogs a chance to cut into Georgia's 14-3 lead late in the second quarter. But State quarterback Chris Relf would throw a pick of his own to Sanders Commings on State's second play, setting up a long 81-yard UGA scoring drive.

After starting the season 0-2, UGA has now scored at least 21 points in the first half of its last three games. Georgia tailback Isaiah Crowell has 90 yards on 12 carries, while Aaron Murray is 11 of 16 for 137 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs. Chris Relf is 11 of 17 for 94 yards, but almost none of State's passing has gone downfield, as Georgia's defense has limited MSU to short gains. The Starkville Dogs are 2 of 8 on third downs.
