After winning last year's Fulmer Cup due to a steady, dink-and-dunk attack, the Georgia Bulldogs went without an arrest since Caleb King's indiscretion on October 11, 2010. If they'd been able to go an entire year, the only proper celebration would've been a flash scooter derby throughout every avenue in Athens.
Alas.
Cornelius Washington, junior UGA linebacker, appears to have been arrested in Commerce, Georgia for driving under the influence and speeding, according to reporting by Macon.com's Seth Emerson and the Athens Banner-Herald's Marc Weiszer. Washington was booked into the Jackson County jail and released on bond, the jail confirmed.
Washington leads Georgia in sacks, with 3.5 on the year. He's put up multiple sacks in consecutive games. A little quarterback pressure would certainly come in handy against the Tennessee Volunteers' Tyler Bray, who likes to throw the ball around a little bit, but that's probably not going to happen.
