The Georgia Bulldogs kept pace with the South Carolina Gamecocks at the top of the SEC Eastern division. The Gamecocks hold the tie breaker over the Bulldogs and therefore Georgia needs to continue to take care of business but also needs a South Carolina loss to get back to the SEC Championship Game. The Florida Gators have lost four straight games and fall to 2-4 in the conference.

Alabama and LSU are headed for a showdown this weekend when the two teams square off at Bryant-Denny Stadium. It is still possible that the two teams could meet again in the BCS Title Game if Oklahoma State fails to run the table. Arkansas (3-1) and Auburn (4-2) will have opportunities to influence the Eastern race as the Razorbacks host South Carolina on November 5 while Auburn travels to Athens in two weeks to take on the Bulldogs.
