SEC Football Scores, Standings: Georgia, LSU Set For Atlanta, Unless Ole Miss Or Kentucky Can Stop Them

Georgia and LSU will meet in the SEC Championship for a second time on December 4, unless conference doormats Kentucky and Ole Miss can pull off a pair of miracles to let Alabama and South Carolina back in the conversation.

Georgia routed Auburn 45-7 Saturday to all but close the conversation on the SEC's Eastern Division race. Technically, South Carolina is still alive if the Bulldogs were to lose at home to last-place Kentucky this Saturday. The Gamecocks beat the Bulldogs way back on September 10, but failed to keep the division lead with losses to Auburn and Arkansas. Georgia hasn't lost a game since South Carolina, and benefited from a weaker Western Division draw (Ole Miss in Oxford versus SC playing at Fayetteville).

LSU has concerns greater than Atlanta: They're the No. 1 team in both polls and the BCS standings, with a date against Oklahoma State seeming more and more likely. The Tigers still have two conference games to go with only a one game lead over Alabama in the Western Division, but opening as 30.5 favorites this week at Oxford will likely end the conversation. Even if Arkansas were to upset the Tigers on November 26, the Tide would need Ole Miss to pull off a massive upset.
