Keith Marshall, the nation's No. 1 all-purpose running back recruit according to Rivals, tweeted out his list of finalists on Wednesday. The Georgia Bulldogs made the cut, as did the Clemson Tigers, Florida Gators, North Carolina Tar Heels, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and South Carolina Gamecocks. In no particular order, Marshall insisted, though we've gone with alphabetical.
Auburn, Miami, Purdue and many others were thought to be in the running, though he's received more than two dozen big-time offers along the way.
Following Marshall's tweets has become something of a hobby for many. Today alone he's retweeted a call for him to join forces with Sammy Watkins and Clemson, along with praise from Watkins himself, and wished he could visit Georgia again with Todd Gurley, a fellow North Carolina star with an impressive offer sheet of his own.
Clemson's been the team popping up the most lately in the run for Marshall's services. But then again, a dismissal of graduation rates is all South Carolina, if you're into clerical errors:
@Truthh4 Graduation rates aren't as important to me as the actual academic rankings because wherever I go I know I'm going to graduate !
