Bowl Projections, Week 13: Georgia To Outback Bowl, Georgia Tech To Belk Bowl

Georgia is most likely looking at heading to the Outback Bowl, unless they can surprise the SEC West champion then they would make the Sugar Bowl. Georgia Tech is almost certainly locked into the Belk Bowl.

With the glut of SEC East team at the top of the BCS standings this week, the Georgia Bulldogs are going to be fourth down the list for SEC bowl teams. Well, unless Georgia can upset the SEC West champion, and then they will be on their way to the Sugar Bowl. With the Sugar Bowl being a big mountain to climb, look for Georgia to still go to a January bowl game.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are done with conference play and face Georgia next week, so their bowl slot is possibly set. The current destination for Georgia Tech is the Belk Bowl, but the Sun Bowl or the Music Bowl could be a possibility as well it just depends on how others in the ACC finish the season.

SB Nation has their initial Week 13 bowl projections out:

Belk Bowl, Dec. 27, 2011
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. West Virginia Mountaineers

Outback, Jan, 2, 2012
Georgia Bulldogs vs. Penn St. Nittany Lions
