Georgia Vs. California Final Score: Bulldogs Suffer First Loss Of Season 70-46

Georgia hit its first stumble of the season Monday night falling to California 70-46 in the semifinals of the CBE Classic. The Bulldogs will play in the third-place game on Tuesday against Notre Dame while California and Missouri match up for the tournament championship. 

Georgia played the Bears tough for about the first 16 minutes of the first half before Cal ended the half on a run to take a 36-25 advantage into halftime. The run continued in the second half with the Bulldogs being outscored 34-21 against a bigger and more physical California team. 

Harper Kamp led the way for the Bears with 16 points while Jorge Gutierrez chipped in 14 points and seven rebounds. Justin Cobb came off the bench to score 10 points. Cal shot 51 percent from the field and 54 percent from three-point range. They won the rebounding battle with the Bulldogs 35-25.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led the way for the Bulldogs with 10 points but was just 4-11 from the field. Gerald Robinson and Nemanja Djurisic each finished with nine points. Robinson accounted for five of the Bulldogs' 14 turnovers in the game. 

The Bulldogs shot just 33 percent from the floor and were just 4-19 from three point range. Georgia only managed to get to the free throw line seven times in the game while California finished 14-18.
