Georgia Southern hit just three of its first 17 shots to fall behind early and eventually fell to South Florida by a final score of 66-46.
Ron Anderson Jr. scored 17 points to lead a balanced scoring attack by the Bulls in the game. Anderson finished 7-8 from the field but was just 3-11 from the charity stripe in the game. Victor Rudd Jr and Blake Nash finished with nine points each. Shaun Noriega and LaVonte Dority finished with eight points for the Bulls.
Georgia Southern scored eight straight points to close the first half only down 31-22. Willie Powers finished with a team high 14 points , eight rebounds and six assists for the Eagles. Eric erguson scored 10 points off the bench while Ben Drayton III finished with nine.
Georgia Southern drops to 0-2 on the road this season and will continue their road trip on Saturday when they travel to take on SMU.
