Georgia Vs. Xavier Final Score: Musketeers Drop Bulldogs 70-56

The Xavier Musketeers provided further evidence that this season's Georgia Basketball team is still a work in progress. Xavier began the second half with a 12-0 run to blow the game wide open to send the Bulldogs to a 70-56 loss. Don't let the final score fool you, Xavier led this game by more than 30 points in the second half before loosening the defensive pressure down the stretch.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored all 14 of his points in the second half to lead the Bulldogs. Gerald Robinson finished with 10 points while Vincent Williams added nine. Georgia shot just 32 percent but much less than that through the key points of this game. The Bulldogs finished 7-26 from three-point range and had seven assists to 15 turnovers in the game.

Kenny Frease and Tu Holloway each scored 12 points to lead the Musketeers. Mark Lyons finished with 10 points while Travis Taylor logged a double double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Xavier shot 49 percent from the field and were relentless in the paint going 19-30 from the free throw line.

The Bulldogs will take the rest of the weekend off before traveling for another tough road game on Monday against Colorado.
