David Sims gave Georgia Tech their first touchdown of the day after a grinding 80-yard drive that was textbook Yellow Jackets triple-option: the entire campaign consisted of 14 running plays that took most of the second quarter (7:07 possession time). Tech now trails the Bulldogs 14-10.
After a relatively slow start and settling for a field goal on their first trip to the red zone, Tech has returned to form, with 165 yards in the first half so far, on pace to meet their per-game average of 325. The total already doubles the Bulldogs' average rushing yards allowed per game this season.
