The common viewpoint of the Southeastern Conference is that it has always been deemed a football conference, and deservedly so. Winning the last five consecutive national championships in football will deem you worthy of such a title, but the spotlight on the hardcourt is becoming harder and harder to deny.

The SEC is tied with the Big East with five teams ranked in the top 25 through four weeks of play, including the No. 1 team in America in the Kentucky Wildcats.Of course, it is still just the end of November and big conference games lay ahead, including the Wildcats hosting North Carolina on December 3rd. We shall find out which conference reigns supreme soon enough.
