College Basketball Recruiting: Tony Parker Closing In On A Decision, According To A Report

One of the top players in the state of Georgia is closing in on a decision according to his AAU coach. Miller Grove standout Tony Parker just finished up his official visit to Duke and according to Georgia Stars coach Norm Parker, is closing in on a decision.

"There's one school out there for each one of them that is their preference," Parker told SNY.tv by phone Monday, declining to specify the favored schools. "I've told them they've done a good job selecting the four or five schools that they visited.

Parker is considering Duke, Ohio State, UCLA and Memphis. Georgetown was on his list but he cancelled his trip there to play in the IS8 Tournament in Queens, New York two weeks ago where he teamed up with UCLA commit Kyle Anderson. he other top in state recruits, Shaq Goodwin and Robert Carter have indicated that they may not sign in the early period. Goodwin has been busy with football while Carter recently visited Georgia and Georgia Tech. Parker seems intent on making a decision before the high school season starts so that he can focus on trying to win a state championship.

"I'm looking forward to getting it over with," Tony told SNY.tv in New York. "Really focusing in on my season. We got a big year this year.

"This is my last season so I want to focus in and have fun."
