After abruptly committing to Memphis on Tuesday, Shaq Goodwin tells the AJC that he is unsure if he will sign during the early period. All reports indicate that he is still committed to Memphis but may have done so without discussing the decision with his family.
"I don’t know what’s going to happen," said Goodwin, declining to go into more details.
Goodwin committed after having only taken two of his five allowed official visits. He had made recruiting stops to Memphis and UCLA but still had UGA, Florida and Arizona listed among his top five schools. Goodwin is a 6-foot-8 power forward out of Southwest Dekalb who has also stated that he wants to be a two sport star and play football in college.
CBS Sports ranks Memphis with the No. 15 recruiting class in the nation after receiving the commitment from Goodwin. So even though he has made a commitment, it doesn't appear that Goodwin will be signing any letters-of-intent just yet.
