After an 0-3 start to the season, the Georgia State Panthers have won seven straight games after routing Rhode Island 96-64 on Saturday. The Panthers took a 46-33 lead at the half and poured it on during the second half. Georgia State shot a sizzling 54 percent in the game thanks to many high percentage looks.
Devonta White finished with 20 points and Brandon McGee added 18 points off the bench for the Panthers. James Fields and Eric Buckner chipped in with 15 points apiece.
Jamal Wilson scored 20 points to lead the Rams who fall to 1-9 on the season. Orion Outerbridge finished with 13 points to round out Rams scorers in double figures. Rhode Island shot 44 percent from the field in the game but turned the ball over 16 times.
Georgia State will try to extend their winning streak to eight games on December 17 when they travel to take on Utah Valley.
