Gus Malzahn To Coach Auburn's Bowl Before Leaving For Arkansas State, According To Report

Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn will be named as the new head coach at Arkansas State according to a report by AStateNation.com

Malzahn is an Arkansas native and spent 14 years coaching high school football in the state. He had been rumored as a candidate for the job for some time although there were doubts as to whether or not he would actually agree to take it. Malzahn is expected to be introduced at a press conference by Arkansas State on Wednesday.

There is at least one report saying that Malzahn will remain at Auburn long enough to call plays at the Chik-fil-A Bowl on New Year's Eve in Auburn's matchup against Virginia.
