Georgia's most notable schedule modification for the 2012 slate - dropping a road game at BCS Championship contender Alabama for 7-6 newcomer Missouri - is being met with a chorus of derision from critics who point out the Bulldogs' history of lucky breaks:

Instead of potentially dropping a home game with Ole Miss, the Dawgs surrendered a road trip to Alabama to help Missouri open their SEC era in Columbia, Missouri. That move alone gives UGA the easiest of the 14 SEC schedules in 2012, according to SB Nation's college football analyst Bill C.
That's not sitting well in Columbia, South Carolina, considering the Gamecocks came up a game short in the Eastern Division standings this season despite beating Georgia in September. Aside from the seemingly beneficial Mizzou/Bama swap, the biggest change on the Dawgs' slate is a midseason meeting with those Gamecocks: Traditionally played the second Saturday of October, the UGA/USC game is moving to October 6.
