The Auburn Tigers are taking on the Virginia Cavaliers down two coaches as their offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn is now the Arkansas State head coach and defensive coordinator Ted Roof going to Central Florida for the same position. Auburn is also down their best offensive player in running back Michael Dyer who is suspended for the game for violating team rules. In Dyer's place will be freshman Tre Mason who will be the feature back for the first time this year. Mason was used as a speed back and has lined up in the wildcat position at times as well.
Virginia's situation is more stable with no players suspended and no coaches are on their way to other jobs. In fact Virginia head coach Mike London just received a two-year contract extension and a raise.
