So, yeah, there are rumors that Georgia Bulldogs coach Mark Richt could leave for Texas A&M. He quite positively won't do such a thing, but that's not the point. There are College Station-centric rumors that he will, which is what we're here to talk about. UGA athletic director Greg McGarity, for one, has also talked about them:
@marcweiszer
#UGA AD Greg McGarity on Mark Richt's involvement in Texas A&M opening: "No truth whatsoever." AD, coach in Tampa today for bowl function.
@ajcuga
#UGA AD Greg McGarity says no truth to Texas A&M talk re: Mark Richt. "Just a bunch of rumors flying around."
And back it went to Texas:
@ChuckCarltonDMN Uh, yes. RT
@Andrew5979:@ChuckCarltonDMN "bunch of rumors" on the internet? Isn't that how Sherman got fired?
No, like, seriously guys. This isn't just GEORGIA FAN DENIAL talking. Mark Richt is not going to leave for the Texas A&M job. He makes a lot of money at a top-five program in top-five recruiting grounds. His young team is very talented. He gets to play Kentucky every year. He's going to trade that for the chance to play against Alabama and LSU forever, backed by a strapped athletic department? This is dumb.
